I, and therest of the class, was asked by the teacher, Mr. Anderson, to think about the possibility that you will learn more about someone through arts, rather then through sciences, like psychology. In my TOK class, we watch the movie "Groundhog Day", in which the main character, Bill Murray, is "caught" in the same day, Groundhog day. He relives the same day over and over again, hoping to eventually get out of the cycle that he is in. On the start, he becomes mad about what is happening, but then finally realizes that he could do anything he wants and it will just reset at 5:59AM. I myself would probably do the exact same thing. I would get confused off the start, then start to get mad. After about a week, I would probably realize that I could do absolutelly anything I wanted to. But after so long, Bill Murray, as well as myself, would get mad and would want to kill myself, but it wouldn't matter, because I would just wake up once more at 6:00AM on Groundhog Day.
For now, I am going to stop saying the plot of the movie, just in case of someone reasoning this that hasn't seen it yet. If there is someone, I advise you to watch it. Mr. Anderson did come up with a good possibility of an underlying plot. It could be as simple as the believe of a Buddhist, in which that the person or Buddhist goes through life several times, trying to find enlightenment.
The movie was good for showing what people would actually be like in that particular situation. They would start off confused, then angry, then freedom almost, then to sadness or depressed, then complete surrender.
For now...toodals
